Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS/GCP)

Job summary

Ens*** is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with expertise in AWS and GCP to join their Agile-based Public Cloud Product Engineering team. The role involves developing repeatable cloud services, defining technical standards, and providing subject matter expertise while working closely with product management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in customer-focused mission critical environments
• 5+ years' experience architecting or supporting public cloud solutions
• Knowledge of AWS or GCP best practices and security considerations
• Experience implementing and supporting public-cloud workloads
• Hold multiple current AWS or Google Cloud Certifications
• Experience building solutions using Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with config management systems
• Excellent Linux knowledge and experience
• Scripting ability in Python, Perl, or Bash
• Experience using Git for version control
• Experience with AWS or GCP CLI
• Experience with containerized environments is useful
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline technology is useful
• Ability to leverage AI tools for productivity
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP
• Degree in computing-related discipline preferred
• Experience in ITIL and Agile environments beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to share knowledge via documentation and presentations
• Ability to implement supportable solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer on Product Engineering epics and stories
• Develop repeatable Ens*** public cloud services and solutions
• Define and evolve public cloud technical standards
• Make recommendations on technical stack
• Assess and onboard new AWS and GCP services
• Drive deployment of automated infrastructure and systems
• Provide subject matter expertise to pre-sales architects
• Act as final line of escalation for cloud operations team
• Stay updated on public cloud services and technology
