Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Job summary

IG Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join a small, collaborative team focused on designing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering with GCP experience
• Designing and operating Google Cloud Platform services at production scale
• Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
• Building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud IAM and access control design expertise
• Collaborative experience with data or ML engineering teams
• Consultative approach with non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment
• Operate GCP data platform services in collaboration with data and ML teams
• Support IAM and security posture across the platform
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for platform issues
• Participate in on-call rota for operational coverage
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of IDP
• Work with data and ML teams to onboard services into the catalog
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools for infrastructure authoring and documentation
• Share effective AI patterns with the team
