Job summary

This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing a highly available cloud platform using Microsoft Azure. Key responsibilities include providing cloud infrastructure for critical applications, automating operational processes, and migrating on-premises systems to the Azure Cloud while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Security or comparable qualifications
• Microsoft-related certifications
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep or similar technologies)
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows servers
• Knowledge of modern automation and deployment methods
• Fluent in German (C1 level)
• Good English skills (B2 level)
• High responsibility and solution orientation
• Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Team-oriented work style

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a highly available platform based on Microsoft Azure
• Provide and operate cloud infrastructures for critical applications
• Develop and implement platform standards for security and availability
• Monitor, log, and manage backup and disaster recovery concepts
• Automate operational and deployment processes to enhance efficiency
• Plan and execute migration of on-premises systems to Azure Cloud
• Analyze existing applications for cloud readiness
• Develop target architectures for transitioning legacy systems
• Build and maintain automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Optimize CI/CD processes
• Design secure network architectures between cloud and on-premises systems
• Advise software development on architecture and deployment topics
• Implement security and compliance requirements within the platform
