Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Job summary

Questrade Financial Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to implement core infrastructure components and CI/CD pipelines for their cloud platform.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and solutions
• Good understanding of cloud security, IAM roles, and encryption keys
• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Ability to write clean code in languages like Python, Golang, or Bash
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with Linux OS administration and fundamentals
• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge
• Experience in building systems in a microservice environment
• Project leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Champion production quality and create cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code and automation
• Maintain and expand cloud infrastructure self-service tooling and CI/CD pipeline
• Design and facilitate organizational and process improvements for automation and DevSecOps
• Provide expertise and training to team members on technologies and processes
• Lead technical discussions for system design and troubleshooting cloud-native applications
• Recommend strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiencies
• Assist engineering teams in developing, testing, and releasing cloud-native applications
