Job summary
The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer leads hands-on engineering and modernization of complex production Azure platforms, translating cloud architecture into secure, resilient, scalable solutions. The role leads complex implementations and engineering priorities, improves reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency, and advances Infrastructure as Code, automated deployment, and CI/CD using tools including Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, and Python.

Qualifications
- Substantial hands-on experience with complex production Azure environments.
- Knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and monitoring.
- Experience with Azure landing zones, subscriptions, Azure Policy, RBAC, private endpoints, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience with Terraform and/or Bicep and repeatable Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Experience leading complex technical implementations and coordinating cloud engineering activity.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, and engineering practice development experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and at least one advanced Microsoft Azure certification.
- AWS and hybrid cloud experience are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical priorities and provide oversight for the cloud platform engineering function.
- Lead complex Azure implementations from planning through deployment, testing, and operational transition.
- Modernize Azure environments and address technical debt to improve resilience, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, automated deployment, and CI/CD practices.
- Establish engineering standards, reusable deployment patterns, technical documentation, and code review practices.
- Mentor engineers and provide practical technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Microsoft, AWS, and other technology partners on cloud delivery and improvement.
