Senior Cloud Security Platform Engineer - STACKIT (m/f/d)

Job summary

Drive the architecture and operation of security infrastructure within OpenStack and Kubernetes environments. Develop automation solutions, design identity management systems, and mentor platform teams to ensure secure deployments.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of 'Security by Design' as an architectural principle.
• Expertise in securing Linux kernels and Kubernetes Control Plane.
• Strong software development and scripting skills in Go and Python.
• Experience in designing complex SIEM architectures and forensic network analysis.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC frameworks.
• Fluent in English; good German skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and operation of security infrastructure in OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
• Develop scalable automation solutions in Go and Python for security processes.
• Design and operate centralized Identity and Secret Management infrastructure.
• Engineer and maintain dynamic Kubernetes guardrails using Admission Controllers.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and develop detection use cases for real-time analysis.
• Own technical evaluation and lifecycle management of enterprise-grade security solutions.
• Act as a technical mentor for platform teams to enable secure deployments.
• Define and monitor Security SLIs/SLOs for incident response.
• Engage in the full lifecycle of security services with a 'you build it, you run it' philosophy.
