Senior Cloud Security Platform Engineer - STACKIT (m/w/d)

Job summary

Drive architecture and stable operation of security infrastructure in OpenStack and Kubernetes environments. Develop scalable automation solutions and enforce security standards while mentoring platform teams and participating in the lifecycle of security services.

Qualifications

• Security by Design is a measurable architectural principle.
• Deep expertise in securing Linux kernel and Kubernetes control plane.
• Strong software development and scripting skills, preferably in Go and Python.
• Solid experience in designing complex SIEM architectures.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and IaC frameworks.
• Fluent in English (good German skills are a plus).

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and stable operation of security infrastructure in OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
• Develop scalable automation solutions in Go and Python for security processes and enforce Infrastructure as Code as standard for all deployments.
• Design and operate centralized identity and secret management infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain dynamic Kubernetes policies using access controls and policy-as-code solutions.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting at network and host levels.
• Evaluate, integrate, and manage lifecycle of enterprise-class security solutions.
• Act as a technical mentor for platform teams.
• Define and monitor security SLIs/SLOs.
• Engage in the entire lifecycle of security services.
