Senior Consultant, Data & AI DevOps

Job summary

CIBC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Consultant, Data & AI DevOps to design and implement DevOps solutions for their data & AI platform, leveraging technologies such as Azure, Databricks, and AKS. This role involves supporting day-to-day CI/CD activities and providing platform support for deployment-related issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining GitHub Actions based DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience ensuring seamless integration and deployment of data solutions
• Ability to build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated build, testing, and deployment
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring
• Strong expertise in Azure services and Databricks
• Ability to provide technical guidance, solution design support, and mentorship on DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and deployment automation

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DevOps solutions for data and AI platform
• Support day-to-day CI/CD activities
• Provide support for platform issues related to deployment
• Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities
• Translate business requirements into system and application design aligned with technology roadmap
• Design and document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations
• Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives and operational efficiency goals
• Contribute to technology roadmaps aligned with bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives
• Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform
• Adopt best practices and drive continuous improvements
• Act as solution lead and interface with project teams
• Drive and moderate design review sessions to ensure alignment with business requirements and architectural directions
• Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and effective problem solving
