Job summary

Build and operate cloud data pipelines that generate large quantum chemistry datasets for deep learning-powered density functional theory research. The role converts quantum chemistry software into scalable cloud workflows, organizes and validates datasets for machine learning and analysis, and operates reliable, secure infrastructure using containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, incident response, and capacity planning.

• MSc in computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related area
• Strong Python software engineering skills
• Experience building and operating large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems and data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Azure or another major cloud, including containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD
• Experience with agentic software development
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate technical concepts to people from different technical backgrounds
