Senior Data Platform Engineer (AWS, Databricks)

Job summary

The Senior Data Platform Engineer is tasked with scaling the data platform that underpins both internal and external analytics solutions, as well as AI workflows. Key responsibilities include ensuring the reliability of the data lakehouse, building infrastructure for data commercialization, and modernizing legacy SQL Server databases using technologies such as AWS, Databricks, and Python.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with production data platforms
• Experience in Python (especially pyspark) for data pipelines
• Strong AWS and Terraform skills
• Experience with modern lakehouse or warehouse platforms
• Production experience with Fivetran, dbt, or similar tools
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming systems
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills
• Familiarity with container orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes)
• Platform mindset

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability and performance of the data lakehouse
• Build infrastructure for data commercialization products
• Design abstractions and reusable templates
• Lead modernization of legacy SQL Server database
• Write and optimize ETL processes
