Job summary
As a Senior Data Platform Engineer at Choco, you will build and evolve the data foundation that powers internal analytics, AI capabilities, and customer-facing data products.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Data Engineering or similar roles.
- Experience building distributed data pipelines.
- Knowledge of streaming/CDC and modern data architectures.
- Hands-on experience with data quality and governance.
- Strong system design and technical judgement.
- Clear communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a scalable data platform.
- Build and operate batch, streaming, and CDC pipelines.
- Deepen data observability and establish SLA/SLO frameworks.
- Implement PII masking, retention, and data contracts.
- Improve data modeling and developer productivity.
- Lead technical initiatives from architecture to production.
- Make pragmatic engineering decisions.
- Prepare data platform for enterprise-scale growth.
