Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Data Architecture, Lead Associate to build and extend a greenfield data and AI platform for federal background investigations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a T5/SSBI clearance.
• 4 years building and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on ETL and analytical data modeling experience.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and CI/CD workflows.
• Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• 5 years work experience with BS/BA.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline code.
• Extend the platform following established architecture and standards.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor data quality, pipeline reliability, and performance.
• Apply data governance and access-control practices.
• Support data science and ML teams with governed datasets.
• Operate within FedRAMP Moderate, NIST 800-171, and CUI constraints.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and maintain documentation.
