Senior Data Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Data Platform Engineer builds tools, standards, and infrastructure that enable engineering teams to independently develop and operate data products. The role spans data, software engineering, and infrastructure, including AI tooling, Airflow and dbt batch processing, and Kafka event-driven systems. It also supports platform adoption and engineering practices across teams in France and Brazil.

• Experience in data engineering or platform engineering and a strong software engineering mindset.
• Deep expertise in at least one area: data, infrastructure, software, event-driven architecture or streaming, or developer tooling.
• Experience with some of Python, Ruby, Airflow, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt, and Terraform.
• Autonomy, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to supporting other teams.
• Curiosity about new tools and practices, including AI; prior AI expertise is not required.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve platforms and tools for engineering teams to build and operate data pipelines.
• Develop AI tooling, including Skills and MCP, to support data product development and operations.
• Contribute to batch processing with Airflow and dbt and event-driven architecture with Kafka.
• Define, document, and promote engineering standards and best practices.
• Support teams in adopting platform tools and practices and developing their skills.
• Promote the platform vision and build connections across teams in France and Brazil.
