Job summary
The Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer bridges software development and system operations, building and operating automated CI/CD processes and supporting deployment planning from an early stage. The role also leads analysis and resolution of infrastructure issues and applies cloud and container technologies through Infrastructure as Code, including experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in Java or a comparable programming language.
- At least one year of experience in system operations.
- Solid understanding of system operations and confident use of Linux and Bash.
- Practical experience with CI tools such as Maven, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, and good Git knowledge.
- Practical container technology experience outside software development.
- Cloud experience and prior use of Infrastructure as Code.
- Fluent German and good English.
- Experience working in agile teams such as Scrum is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Bridge software development and system operations.
- Develop and operate CI/CD automation to support reliable, efficient deployment processes.
- Identify deployment-critical concerns early and work with developers on solutions.
- Proactively communicate infrastructure issues and lead their analysis and resolution.
- Use cloud and container technologies and implement infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code.
