Seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Consultant to support the development of a data management and infrastructure platform focused on climate change projects.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years of experience operating Linux servers in production environments.
• Ability to build automated pipelines for data-related projects.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for data infrastructure.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in diverse environments.
• Passionate about Climate Science and Data Engineering.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and motivated self-starter.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with stakeholders.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the data platform for advanced analytics and climate modelling.
• Transition the platform from single-server deployments to separated environments with orchestration.
• Establish and improve operational practices including monitoring and incident response.
• Design and implement access, identity, and secrets management.
• Standardise production data workflows and platform standards.
• Document processes and systems for continuity.
• Provide technical guidance to data analysts and scientists.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies and define the technical roadmap.
