Senior Devops Developer

Job summary

Telesat is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platform for its Lightspeed satellite constellation. The role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and automation of an Azure-based deployment platform while collaborating with various engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional DevOps / Cloud / Platform Engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Azure services
• Experience with Terraform for IaC
• Advanced GitLab CI/CD pipeline design
• Kubernetes cluster administration
• Experience with Docker image management
• Strong Linux command-line proficiency
• Proficient in Git workflows

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage Azure cloud resources
• Author and maintain Terraform modules
• Own and extend GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain Docker images, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests
• Write and maintain Bash/Python scripts
• Operate and improve the monitoring stack
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes
