Job summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of AHDB's Azure cloud platform and Azure DevOps. This role involves driving infrastructure automation, optimizing CI/CD processes, and ensuring the security and scalability of cloud environments.
Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure platform
- Strong experience in designing and deploying cloud infrastructure
- Extensive experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Strong experience with YAML-based pipelines
- Experience in designing and optimizing CI/CD processes
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles
- Experience in Agile delivery environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical communication skills
- Desirable experience with Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the Azure cloud infrastructure
- Investigate, implement and document automation and improvement of development and release processes
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and remediation for production systems
- Support projects with technical knowledge in process investigation and solution design
- Maintain digital data storage such as databases and registers
- Review applications and infrastructure for compliance and auditing
- Collaborate with the Development Team to test and examine code
