Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer operates and improves SaaS cloud infrastructure, supporting reliable, efficient, and secure software delivery across platform engineering teams. The role leads system design, infrastructure automation, AI-assisted operational workflows with manual and staging validation, cost management, and engineering mentorship. Relevant technologies include Linux, Bash, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Terraform.

• Experience as a DevOps or operations engineer in a SaaS environment.
• Extensive Linux experience, preferably with Ubuntu, Debian, or CentOS, and scripting experience with Bash or Python.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools such as Terraform.
• Ability to use AI tools for infrastructure delivery and safely validate, govern, and measure AI-assisted automation.
• Strategic thinking, accountability, proactive communication, and a team-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Operate, scale, and troubleshoot SaaS cloud infrastructure for reliability, efficiency, and security.
• Design systems spanning multiple components and anticipate performance and scalability issues.
• Develop self-optimizing infrastructure and use AI to accelerate feature delivery, validating automation manually and in staging before production.
• Manage the costs and return on investment of AI-driven systems.
• Break down complex work into parallel workstreams and lead design discussions across teams.
• Establish infrastructure best practices, promote documentation, and mentor senior engineers.
