Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Owns end-to-end DevOps delivery and operational reliability across development, QA, staging, and production environments. Designs CI/CD pipelines, provisions cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code, manages Docker and Kubernetes workloads, and improves monitoring, security, availability, and cloud efficiency. Troubleshoots production issues and partners with engineering teams to ensure applications can be deployed and operated reliably.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated infrastructure provisioning; Terraform preferred.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing production environments and troubleshooting complex deployment, infrastructure, and application issues.
• Experience scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Git and branching and release strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Own DevOps and deployment processes across development, QA, staging, and production.
• Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable automated application delivery.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Manage containerized workloads and Kubernetes environments.
• Automate infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for applications and infrastructure.
• Apply security, scalability, availability, and reliability practices to infrastructure and deployments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Implement backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster-recovery practices.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and cloud resource utilization.
• Review technical designs and guide development teams on DevOps and cloud best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment runbooks.
