Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer is tasked with designing, automating, and managing secure and scalable Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. This role involves leading Azure platform initiatives, implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible, and managing CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps pipelines. Additionally, the engineer will mentor team members and ensure operational excellence across infrastructure, networking, and security.

Responsibilities

• Own complex Azure platform initiatives from architecture to ongoing optimization.
• Anticipate operational, security, scalability, and reliability risks.
• Raise engineering maturity through reusable automation and clear standards.
• Balance speed, reliability, security, cost, and maintainability.
• Act as a senior technical authority for Azure platform architecture.
• Lead design and delivery of scalable SaaS infrastructure.
• Define and promote platform standards and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional troubleshooting discussions.
• Evaluate platform capabilities and recommend improvements.
• Design, deploy, automate, and manage enterprise Azure infrastructure.
• Own solutions involving Virtual Machines, Load Balancers, and Virtual Networks.
• Lead capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.
• Architect and operate cloud-native application platforms using AKS.
• Establish secure patterns for container deployment and production support.
• Partner with application teams to improve deployment consistency.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Own Azure DevOps pipelines and automated release processes.
• Develop reusable modules and improve release quality.
• Design and support Azure SQL Database and PostgreSQL services.
• Embed security into infrastructure and delivery practices.
