Senior DevOps Engineer - Core Platform Engineering

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer will design and operate core platform components that support secure and scalable services across cloud and on-prem environments. Key responsibilities include managing Kubernetes, building infrastructure with Terraform, implementing observability standards, and automating platform lifecycle processes. The role requires strong experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and observability practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles operating production systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, networking, and lifecycle management
• Solid understanding of AWS fundamentals including networking, IAM, compute, and storage
• Experience with infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform
• Practical experience with observability, including SLOs, metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python or Go
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and evolve core platform components including Kubernetes, ingress, service mesh, and secrets management
• Build and maintain reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform across AWS and on-prem environments
• Define and implement observability standards, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting
• Partner with product teams to guide platform adoption and enable scalable, platform-aligned architectures
• Automate platform lifecycle processes including provisioning, upgrades, and scaling
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and security through continuous iteration
• Support and mentor engineers on best practices in Kubernetes, networking, identity, and observability
• Reduce operational overhead through tooling, automation, and improved platform abstractions
