Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will manage foundational compute and cloud components, including Kubernetes clusters and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks, while collaborating with various engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Track record of owning complex technical initiatives end-to-end
• Hands-on expertise operating Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform
• Solid software engineering skills in Go, Python, or similar
• Knowledge across supportive technologies
• Understanding of SRE principles
• Experience mentoring other engineers
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex infrastructure initiatives end-to-end
• Break initiatives down into executable work and document technical decisions
• Design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable systems in AWS
• Plan and drive technical improvements to the compute and cloud platform
• Build and own self-service tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks
• Unblock teams through code and design reviews and knowledge sharing
• Serve as a first responder during on-call rotations
• Drive quality objectives for the Infrastructure platform
• Act as a role model by sharing feedback and supporting hiring
• Partner with platform teams to align on standards and tooling
