Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer focuses on providing and enhancing a stable, modern development environment with integrated tools and efficient processes throughout the toolchain. Responsibilities include installing and configuring development tools, ensuring software stability, and automating processes within the CI/CD toolchain while collaborating with development, IT operations, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant professional experience in software development
• Knowledge of modern software architectures, development methods, and relevant tools
• Experience with development, build, and deployment processes and modern toolchains
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Experience in supporting or guiding colleagues
• Strong sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, and high quality awareness
• Willingness to take responsibility for technical areas, processes, or subprojects

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and update modern development tools on virtual desktop environments
• Ensure compatible and stable software versions in close coordination with development teams
• Plan and coordinate releases for virtual development environments including documentation and user communication
• Analyze and resolve technical issues within the development and CI/CD toolchain
• Support and enhance tools and platforms for source code management, build, deployment, and artifact management
• Identify automation potentials and implement suitable self-service solutions
• Collaborate with development, IT operations, and security on technical requirements
• Independently address complex technical issues and develop sustainable solutions
• Take responsibility in technical subprojects and support less experienced team members
