Job summary
The Senior Azure DevOps Engineer designs, builds, and operates Azure infrastructure and processes to improve monitoring, automation, security, cost efficiency, and service scalability. The role partners with product and development teams to support production and test environments, implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and Azure Bicep/ARM, manage Kubernetes-based systems, troubleshoot operational issues, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications
- At least five years of DevOps experience, including at least three years with Azure core services.
- Experience managing database platforms and Azure-managed database services.
- Expertise with Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Ability to design, deploy, monitor, and manage Kubernetes-based systems.
- Strong scripting and automation skills.
- Experience with application performance monitoring and large-scale log aggregation.
- Experience supporting development teams using iterative delivery practices.
- Multi-cloud operations experience across AWS and Azure preferred.
- Azure cloud certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage Azure infrastructure using automation tools.
- Provide operational support for applications running on Azure.
- Integrate development projects into production and test Azure environments and support them.
- Promote security, reliability, and scalability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Build automation and productivity tools for production applications.
- Troubleshoot application development, deployment, and operations issues.
- Architect and implement reliable, scalable Azure infrastructure services.
- Respond to critical production issues as an on-call escalation contact.
- Provide Azure design guidance and support application performance improvements.
