Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer role is centered on managing infrastructure automation, observability, and platform reliability for enterprise applications. Key responsibilities include administering Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments, designing CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitLab CI/CD, and deploying observability stacks using OpenTelemetry and Grafana to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise application deployment and production support
• Expertise in RHEL and Windows Server administration
• Proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell scripting
• Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and Grafana
• Understanding of metrics and distributed tracing
• Knowledge of RPM package management
• Fluency in English; German is a plus

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitLab CI/CD
• Automate deployment and system operations with Python and Bash/Shell scripting
• Support enterprise application deployments and production releases
• Deploy and manage observability stacks with OpenTelemetry and Grafana
• Develop dashboards and alerts for operational visibility
• Analyze performance metrics to optimize system efficiency
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Build Python-based automation frameworks
• Document technical processes and create SOPs
