Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

EQ Bank is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong passion for the field and expertise in the end-to-end software build chain, operations, and automated build and release processes. This role involves providing subject matter expertise, collaborating with teams, researching emerging technologies, and continuously improving performance to build and deliver software efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment orchestration.
• 2 years of hands-on experience championing cloud deployments to Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• 2+ years of expertise in Platform as a Service using Pivotal CF or IBM Bluemix.
• 5+ years of experience with troubleshooting and practical usage of source control systems (Git, SVN).
• Solid understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
• Experience with SecOps is beneficial.
• 3+ years of experience with architecture and design understanding behind containers, working with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of programming/scripting in one or more of the following languages: Java, C, C++, Groovy, Python, Shell.
• Familiarity with the Power Platform suite.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems, or Engineering.
• Five or more years of similar professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to developers and testers on current and future DevOps toolchains.
• Collaborate with the team to exchange knowledge, solutions, and practices for consistent development approaches.
• Research and analyze existing and emerging technologies to identify products and tools for the DevOps team.
• Continuously improve performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks to reduce software build and delivery time.
• Build and maintain high availability Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery infrastructure.
• Lead DevOps capacity planning, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
• Review and provide feedback on product functional specifications and design specifications.
• Perform formal code reviews, static and security analysis, design and implement unit tests, and perform code coverage analysis.
• Administer and oversee the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including managing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents.
• Set up and follow DevOps best practices for continuous integration and deployment of Power Platform solutions.
• Work closely with citizen developers and Power users to guide best practices and empower them to leverage the Power Platform effectively.
• Help development teams (in-house and external vendors) build, integrate, manage, and deploy releases into all environments using a hybrid methodology (Agile + Waterfall).
