Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

Job summary

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. You will own CI/CD pipelines, drive infrastructure-as-code practices, and collaborate with product and AI engineers to enhance deployment processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or Cloud Infrastructure roles, ideally at a startup or high-growth company
• Proven track record of owning infrastructure end-to-end and driving measurable impact
• Comfortable with ambiguity and managing time effectively
• Ability to simplify complexity and create actionable plans
• Experience with AI coding tools and ability to audit AI-generated code
• Experience in fast-scaling environments is a strong plus
• German language skills are a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure focusing on reliability, scalability, and security
• Own CI/CD pipelines end-to-end from design to rollout and continuous improvement
• Drive infrastructure-as-code practices across the engineering team
• Collaborate with product and AI engineers for fast, safe, and frequent deployments
• Monitor system performance, lead incident response, and conduct post-mortems
• Instrument infrastructure with observability tooling and act on insights
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met across environments
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural investments
• Drive simplicity to reduce complexity for developers
• High ownership in building and scaling infrastructure
• Impact reliability and performance of the platform for SMEs
• Maintain tight feedback loops with engineers and stakeholders
• Adopt a pragmatic pace: ship, learn, iterate
