Senior DevOps Engineer (gn) full-time / part-time (hybrid)

Job summary

DKV Mobility is seeking a DevOps Engineer to set up, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes-based cloud resources, including monitoring/logging solutions and Kafka. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for container-based integration applications, and optimizing observability solutions for Azure, Kafka, and integration applications. The engineer will also create dashboards, implement alerting, and apply Infrastructure-as-Code.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on automation, deployment, and platform management.
• Solid experience in deploying and operating cloud resources in Azure, AWS, GCP, or comparable on-premises environments.
• Proficiency with container technologies and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK/Elastic Stack.
• Routine automation using Bash, Python, or a comparable scripting language.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform) and building/operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kafka is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and high level of troubleshooting expertise in platform and deployment topics.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English to convey technical content to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes-based cloud resources, including monitoring/logging solutions and Kafka.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for container-based integration applications.
• Continuously improve development delivery pipelines in collaboration with the development team.
• Operate and optimize observability solutions for Azure resources, Kafka, and integration applications.
• Create dashboards following best practices.
• Implement alerting and automated remediation mechanisms.
• Design and implement operational concepts for Azure resources, Confluent Cloud, and integration projects.
• Consistently apply Infrastructure-as-Code, using tools like Terraform.
