Job summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer owns and evolves AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure supporting satellite ground stations, connectivity systems, test environments, and end-user platforms. The role delivers infrastructure initiatives, develops reusable Terraform and deployment patterns, hardens networking between cloud environments and ground station sites, and resolves incidents to improve reliability. It also involves production operations using IAM, CI/CD, Helm, and cloud networking across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications
- Experience owning a platform or critical infrastructure area end to end.
- Extensive experience designing and operating production environments on AWS.
- Strong cloud networking skills, including VPC design, DNS, routing, security groups, and cloud-to-on-premises connectivity.
- Deep Terraform experience, including module design and infrastructure management at scale.
- Experience operating production Kubernetes, including deployments, Helm, and troubleshooting.
- Track record of resolving production incidents and improving reliability.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines.
- Hybrid cloud and on-premises experience.
- Scripting or software engineering experience with Python, Bash, or Go.
- Observability experience with logging, metrics, and alerting.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, RDS, or MongoDB.
- Experience in regulated, defence, or security-sensitive environments.
Responsibilities
- Own AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure for ground station and connectivity systems.
- Make architecture trade-offs balancing reliability, cost, and delivery speed.
- Lead infrastructure initiatives from design through delivery, coordinating with software teams and ground station vendors.
- Develop reusable Terraform and deployment patterns.
- Design and secure networking between cloud environments and ground station sites.
- Translate operational problems into technical plans and solutions.
- Resolve platform incidents, identify root causes, and implement lasting reliability improvements.
- Share expertise through reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
