Job summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer designs and delivers complex cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and GCP, translating application and business requirements into architecture for new systems, migrations, and modernization. The role leads infrastructure automation and delivery using Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, and custom tooling, while improving resilience, cloud governance, FinOps, and observability with Dynatrace. It also includes production on-call incident response, cross-team coordination, and technical guidance for engineers.

Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, or a related technical role.
- Advanced hands-on experience designing and operating Microsoft Azure environments; GCP or another major cloud platform experience is beneficial.
- Strong experience designing infrastructure and reusable components with Terraform and applying infrastructure as code at scale.
- Strong experience designing CI/CD and deployment automation with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.
- Automation or programming experience with Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, APIs, or comparable technologies.
- Experience designing and operating highly available Windows or Linux, containerized, cloud-hosted, or PaaS applications in production.
- Experience diagnosing complex production issues across application layers with observability platforms such as Dynatrace.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex Azure and GCP infrastructure and operational solutions.
- Translate application and business requirements into end-to-end infrastructure architecture for new applications, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Own technical delivery of infrastructure initiatives, including architecture, dependencies, sequencing, automation, implementation, cutover, validation, rollback, and transition to operations.
- Build automation-first solutions with Terraform, Ansible Automation Platform, CI/CD, APIs, and custom tooling.
- Develop reusable infrastructure, automation platforms, APIs, and engineering patterns across applications and environments.
- Evaluate design tradeoffs involving reliability, recoverability, maintainability, security, performance, cost, and operational burden.
- Improve cloud governance, resource utilization, lifecycle management, and cost optimization.
- Design resilience, backup, restore, disaster recovery, capacity, and performance improvements for critical systems.
- Define observability, monitoring, alerting, SLI/SLO, and reliability approaches using Dynatrace and related telemetry.
- Participate in production on-call and resolve complex infrastructure and application incidents.
- Use Dynatrace, logs, cloud telemetry, and system diagnostics to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop operational patterns, runbooks, and automation for recurring support and recovery activities.
- Coordinate with application development, database, security, cloud, and network engineering teams on technical dependencies.
- Provide technical guidance, review designs and implementations, and promote knowledge sharing and consistent engineering practices.
