Job summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer builds, secures, and operates production platforms supporting business-critical workflows in the specialty insurance market. The role spans AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, Terraform and OpenTofu Infrastructure as Code, Ansible automation, CI/CD, observability, and production troubleshooting, while improving developer self-service and engineering standards across teams. It also supports the governed adoption of AI technologies, including integrations, observability, and cost management.

Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience supporting and improving business-critical production environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and engineering automation; Azure DevOps pipeline experience is preferred.
- Experience improving developer productivity with platform tooling, reusable patterns, and automation.
- Knowledge of infrastructure standards, cloud security controls, governance, and operational practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, applications, deployments, and configuration.
- Ability to navigate application code when investigating platform issues.
- Automation-first approach and interest in improving how teams build, deploy, and operate software.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support AWS infrastructure and production Kubernetes platforms.
- Create reusable Infrastructure as Code patterns with Terraform and OpenTofu.
- Automate environment configuration and operations with Ansible.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, quality controls, and delivery practices.
- Enhance developer self-service, documentation, automation, and platform tooling.
- Define and promote standards for infrastructure, Kubernetes, security, governance, and software delivery.
- Support responsible AI adoption, including integrations, governance, observability, and cost management.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility across business-critical platforms.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and application issues.
- Provide advanced platform and production support.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to cross-team technical decisions.
