(Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

As a (Senior) DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical design and implementation of our platform. You will apply your deep technical expertise to further develop our infrastructure based on DevOps principles, with a special focus on cloud technologies and Kubernetes. You will also mentor the team to elevate product quality. This role involves technical leadership, cloud migration, team development, end-to-end project responsibility, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the DevOps environment
• Profound, proven knowledge of at least one Hyperscaler platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficient in Kubernetes (self-managed or managed services like EKS, AKS, or GKE)
• Solid knowledge of Docker and hosting highly available SaaS products
• Experience with cloud migrations, having accompanied or independently implemented them
• Familiarity with typical challenges and solutions in cloud migrations
• General interest in the JavaScript ecosystem
• Knowledge of Node.js, Vue, MongoDB, or Redis is a plus
• High quality and security awareness
• Awareness of the current state of technology
• Solution-oriented with an intrinsic curiosity and startup mentality
• Ability to manage topics holistically and maintain an overview during rapid iterations
• Structured approach to completing tasks
• Open and clear communication at all levels
• Willingness to participate in a structured on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Assume a key role in the technical design and implementation of our platform

• Collaborate with the team to develop precise technical concepts for upcoming cloud migration projects
• Actively drive the migration of our infrastructure to the cloud
• Contribute profound knowledge of at least one leading Hyperscaler platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), from architectural decisions to concrete implementation
• Ensure the continuous development of the entire team through targeted mentorship and knowledge transfer
• Actively shape team structures
• Manage complex projects from requirements to successful completion
• Proactively contribute ideas to ensure sustainable system and code quality
• Participate in the newly introduced on-call rotation to ensure platform stability and availability
