Job summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer designs, automates, and operates deployment and infrastructure systems using Git, AWX, and Ansible, and provides technical ownership of architecture, tooling, and data flows. The role also builds and maintains PKI services—including X.509 certificates, CAs, HSMs, and ACME automation—and develops organization-wide monitoring with Checkmk and SNMP. Additional responsibilities include supporting test automation and collaborating across teams to improve infrastructure quality.

Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, equivalent qualification, or vocational training as an IT specialist with relevant professional experience
- Strong knowledge of Git, AWX, Ansible, Bash, and Python
- Knowledge of PKI infrastructure, cryptography, and encryption methods
- Confident working with Linux and Windows environments
- Basic knowledge of agile working methods
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented approach with a strong sense of personal accountability
- Ability to communicate independently in German at B2 level or higher and in English
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and automate deployments using Git, AWX, and Ansible roles, playbooks, pipelines, and templates
- Own technical architecture decisions, tooling, and data-flow design
- Build, operate, and improve PKI infrastructure, including encryption, signatures, X.509, certificate authorities, HSMs, and ACME-based certificate automation
- Design, develop, and operate organization-wide IT monitoring with Checkmk and SNMP
- Improve infrastructure quality through test automation and cross-team collaboration
