Seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in database platforms (AWS/Azure) for a project in Bern, Switzerland, with a remote component.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer focusing on database platforms (AWS/Azure) and software development with Go and NodeJS
• Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform, Pulumi, Git, ArgoCD, or Tekton and automation of infrastructure processes
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructures focusing on AWS (EC2, RDS, IAM) or Azure (VM, SQL, Entra)
• Knowledge of various database management systems such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB
• Strong knowledge in BizDevOps, SAFe, and Scrum/Kanban with experience in agile teams
• Ability to maintain oversight in complex situations and systematically address technical challenges
• Open personality with quick comprehension skills
• Good German and English language skills

Responsibilities

• Engineering of database services and their deployment via operators/GitOps and a self-service portal
• Empowering application teams in using and connecting to database services
• Supporting applications during service transitions and implementing feature requests
• Maintenance and operation of database services in collaboration with external teams
