Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Lead the design and operation of secure Azure platforms for UK teams to build and support mission-focused services, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior platform, cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure environments
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD
• Experience delivering infrastructure as code using Bicep, Terraform, or similar
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service
• Experience with DevSecOps practices
• Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure
• Ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with teams

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate secure Azure platform services
• Own CI/CD standards and deployment automation
• Architect and manage Azure infrastructure using infrastructure as code
• Build and optimize containerized workloads with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service
• Define observability standards for monitoring and service health reporting
• Implement DevSecOps practices for security and compliance
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues
• Advise teams on Azure architecture and operational practices
• Drive cost-aware platform decisions
• Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering best practices
