Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer designs and optimizes an Azure foundation platform, focusing on Microsoft Entra ID, identity management, security, and automation. The role automates Entra ID services and policies using Terraform, APIs, and Go; develops SSO and OAuth2/SAML authentication flows; and strengthens monitoring and secure configuration practices. It also supports Azure base-service integrations and provides technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Computer science degree from a university of applied sciences or university, or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of practical Microsoft Azure experience and strong knowledge of Azure foundation services.
• Strong Microsoft Entra ID knowledge, especially Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Application Proxy.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, especially with Terraform.
• Experience developing automation solutions and APIs, ideally with Go and with Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD, with experience using GitLab.
• Understanding of identity and access management, network security, and OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with SSO and integrating applications into centralized authentication and authorization processes.
• Cloud security experience; Microsoft 365 experience is an advantage.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, structured and independent working, and effective communication.
• Good German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Terraform- and Go-based automation for Microsoft Entra ID and related services.
• Manage and automate app registrations, enterprise applications, Conditional Access policies, and administrative units.
• Develop, implement, and maintain authentication and authorization processes for SSO and other applications.
• Define OAuth2 and SAML flows and integrate them into applications.
• Manage and optimize Azure and Microsoft 365 services, focusing on identity management and security.
• Improve monitoring frameworks to verify secure Entra ID configurations.
• Document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams.
