Senior Devops Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer designs and maintains secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and automated software delivery pipelines, collaborating with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams. The role covers CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Docker and Kubernetes operations, monitoring, DevSecOps, incident troubleshooting, and cloud cost optimization across platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud; supporting AI/ML workloads is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Six to ten years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Practical experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting experience; Windows Server familiarity is an advantage.
• Knowledge of networking, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, cloud security, identity and access management, secrets management, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Production systems experience involving high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery is an advantage.
• Familiarity with GitOps tools, cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, serverless architectures, or automated testing is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled applications, LLM or generative AI infrastructure, or containerized AI services is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application builds, testing, deployment, and releases.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Create automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Monitor infrastructure and services for availability, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Integrate security checks, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage cloud networking, access controls, backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Improve deployment strategies, release management, and development workflows in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Maintain operational documentation, infrastructure standards, and best practices.
• Optimize cloud resource use, system efficiency, and operational costs.
