Job summary
The Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer defines and maintains secure, compliant, and scalable cloud server and database infrastructure, contributing to infrastructure strategy within the engineering department. The role manages Kubernetes-based infrastructure using infrastructure as code, oversees Datadog monitoring, and partners with development teams on CI/CD pipelines. It also guides engineers on DevOps practices and aligns infrastructure decisions with product direction and future growth.

Qualifications
- Significant experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, and Datadog.
- Knowledge of managing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Experience creating and managing pipelines and workflows with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Strategic mindset and willingness to contribute to product and infrastructure discussions.
- Ability to work autonomously, own projects, and complete them with minimal oversight.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements and experience implementing compliant cloud solutions.
- Experience collaborating with software development teams and technical leaders, including architects and team leads.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders across departments.
- Ability to develop pragmatic solutions aligned with product and business needs.
- Ability to lead initiatives independently and provide technical expertise to the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Define, implement, and maintain cloud-based server and database infrastructure managed with Kubernetes.
- Manage infrastructure using infrastructure as code.
- Own and manage Datadog monitoring for proactive infrastructure monitoring.
- Collaborate with team leads and the software architect to align engineering efforts.
- Maintain environment security and compliance and work toward required certifications and standards.
- Contribute to infrastructure strategy and pragmatic decisions aligned with product direction and future growth.
- Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor engineers on DevOps best practices and infrastructure topics.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve systems.
