Senior Devops Engineer - Remote

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer builds and maintains the AWS infrastructure, automation, and reliability supporting a reseller connectivity platform. The role improves Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring, and containerized distributed systems, while automating operations and supporting incident response to keep services secure, scalable, and highly available.

Qualifications

• Approximately five or more years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Computer science fundamentals and exposure to distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes exposure is an advantage.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with security standards, authentication methods, and Cloudflare.
• Comfort participating in an on-call rotation.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
• Event-driven architecture experience.
• Familiarity with Postgres database administration and optimization.
• Telecoms or SaaS experience is relevant.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable deployments.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code for consistent environment management.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Participate in on-call incident response, root-cause diagnosis, and post-incident reviews.
• Automate repeatable operational tasks.
• Support distributed systems, containers, and orchestration in cloud environments.
• Apply infrastructure security practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and access control.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and deployment issues with developers.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and runbooks.
