Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, securing, and operating cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines for a federal health care platform that serves approximately 11 million users. This role involves managing cloud and edge infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP, automating CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards such as FedRAMP and NIST 800-53.

Qualifications

• Completion of DevSecOps take-home exercise
• CMS residency requirement documentation
• Ability to pass a Federal background check
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• Experience working directly with external clients
• Familiarity with Service Delivery Frameworks for government
• Experience managing federal compliance frameworks
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms
• Deep understanding of managing infrastructure using tools like Terraform
• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience containerizing applications with Docker/Kubernetes
• Comfort collaborating with developers across various stacks
• Experience setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and secure cloud and edge infrastructure
• Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Containerize and operate applications with Docker/Kubernetes
• Stand up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Embed federal security and compliance across delivery
• Collaborate directly with the external client
• Identify and remediate infrastructure and application security risks
