Job summary
ShyftLabs is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the technical direction of DevOps and manage complex infrastructure across multiple projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering
- experience leading or mentoring engineers
- practical expertise in AWS EKS, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform
- extensive hands-on AWS experience
- fluent on command line (Bash, Python)
- strong grasp of microservices architecture
- proven ability to architect and scale infrastructure
- working knowledge of Elasticsearch
Responsibilities
- design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure
- write automation, IaC, and tooling
- own reliability directly
- build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- set up monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and log aggregation
- collaborate with application developers
- set technical direction for DevOps
- mentor and grow engineers
- shape team structure and priorities
- evaluate and roll out new tools and processes
