Job summary
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at SumUp, you will design and maintain Terraform modules, manage production Kubernetes clusters, and lead security and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in software development (Go preferred)
- Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes in production
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services like EC2, VPC, IAM
- Comfort with security and compliance requirements
- Ability to mentor engineers and explain technical decisions clearly
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns
- Manage production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters
- Lead security and compliance work across frameworks like PCI DSS and SOC2
- Define and monitor service reliability metrics
- Improve developer experience through automation and better CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical design discussions
