Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer designs, automates, and optimizes cloud and on-premises environments to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable software. The role advances CI/CD, observability, environment automation, and operational resilience across engineering teams, using AWS, Infrastructure as Code, containers, and monitoring tools such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.

Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps engineering experience with AWS cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, pipeline-as-code, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code, including AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, or Groovy.
• Knowledge of observability concepts and tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with automation tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD, CloudBees, or Nexus.
• Experience with Linux-based and Windows Server environments.
• Experience implementing cloud security best practices across infrastructure and applications.
• Experience in agile delivery environments, such as SAFe, and with Lean Delivery principles.
• Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Desired: experience leading DevOps or engineering transformation initiatives.
• Desired: familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.
• Desired: experience with multi-vendor environments and external service providers.
• Desired: knowledge of Helm charts and Kubernetes cluster management with EKS.
• Desired: knowledge of incremental delivery and shift-left practices for quality and resilience.
• Desired: software development experience using C#/.NET, Java, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for automated resource deployment.
• Automate development, testing, and production delivery through CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and observability tooling.
• Improve production stability and resilience through monitoring and process optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and operations teams on application integration and deployment.
• Architect and support microservices using containerization and serverless technologies.
• Automate environment management, logging, and monitoring.
• Apply cloud standards, security best practices, and organizational policies.
• Contribute to agile delivery and continuous improvement.
