Job summary
This senior DevOps engineering role builds, secures, and operates production platforms supporting business-critical workflows in the specialty insurance market. The work spans AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and OpenTofu infrastructure, Ansible automation, CI/CD, and observability, while improving developer self-service and engineering standards. The role also supports responsible AI adoption, resolves complex production issues, and mentors engineers.

Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar field.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience supporting and improving business-critical production environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and engineering automation; Azure DevOps pipeline experience is preferred.
- Experience improving developer productivity through platform tooling, reusable patterns, and automation.
- Knowledge of infrastructure standards, cloud security controls, governance, and operational practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, applications, deployments, and configuration.
- Ability to navigate application code when investigating platform issues.
- Automation-first approach and interest in improving software development, deployment, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support AWS infrastructure and production Kubernetes platforms.
- Create and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code patterns with Terraform and OpenTofu.
- Automate processes and improve environment consistency with Ansible.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, quality controls, and delivery practices.
- Enhance developer experience through self-service, automation, documentation, and platform tooling.
- Define and promote engineering standards for infrastructure, Kubernetes, security, governance, and software delivery.
- Support responsible AI adoption, including integrations, governance, observability, and cost management.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility across production platforms.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and application issues.
- Provide advanced technical support for platform and production challenges.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical decisions across teams.
