Senior DevOps & Python Platform Engineering Specialist

Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior DevOps & Python Platform Engineering Specialist to design, develop, and maintain scalable content management solutions while providing technical guidance and support for production platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps roles.
• 5+ years of development experience with Python and knowledge of Java.
• 3+ years supporting Linux and/or Windows systems.
• Proficiency with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and load-balancing technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in complex, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable content management solutions using Python.
• Lead technical design discussions and produce design documentation.
• Build and enhance tooling and automation for platform integration.
• Perform code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers on the team.
• Deploy and operate Alfresco ECM platforms in private cloud environments.
• Evaluate SharePoint Embedded & Snowflake as content management solutions.
• Collaborate with vendor teams on escalations and product upgrades.
• Maintain architecture diagrams and operational runbooks.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the application stack.
• Participate in an engineering on-call rotation.
• Act as an escalation point for complex customer issues.
• Communicate with customers regarding issue status and resolutions.
• Analyze incident trends to drive platform improvements.
• Review workflows and operational processes for improvements.
