Job summary

This role builds and operates the technical foundation for a SaaS commerce platform serving the automotive aftermarket, improving the reliability, security, and scalability of its hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Key work includes automation, monitoring and observability, incident management, root-cause analysis, security hardening, and carefully governed use of AI; relevant technologies include AWS or Azure, Linux, Bash, Python, and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant experience in DevOps, system administration, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Practical experience with AWS or Azure and secure operation of on-premises Linux systems and networks.
• Strong scripting skills, such as Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Ability to use AI thoughtfully and assess its benefits and risks.
• Hands-on ownership, proactive work habits, and systematic problem-solving skills.
• Fluent German and English, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Experience with monitoring, backup and restore, security hardening, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerized workloads, API-first platforms, or guarded AI workflows is advantageous.
