Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer integrates security into CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and development workflows, building automated security gates and infrastructure-as-code standards. The role implements code, dependency, container, and infrastructure scanning; manages secrets and access; and supports ATO, continuous monitoring, and security evidence generation. The technical environment includes Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and NIST SP 800-53 control mapping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.
• Five to eight years of DevSecOps or DevOps engineering experience.
• Hold one of the specified current security or Kubernetes certifications.
• Obtain CKS or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate within 180 days of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security gates.
• Implement SAST, DAST, SCA, container image, and infrastructure-as-code scanning.
• Manage secrets, credentials, certificates, and privileged access in automated workflows.
• Maintain infrastructure as code for repeatable, auditable provisioning.
• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting for operational and security visibility.
• Support ATO, continuous monitoring, and security control evidence generation.
• Coach development teams on secure delivery and shift-left practices.
