Job summary

The Senior EDA & HPC Infrastructure Engineer is tasked with managing and enhancing the AWS-based engineering infrastructure and Linux-based EDA and HPC compute farm. Responsibilities include optimizing cloud environments, overseeing job scheduling with AWS ParallelCluster and SLURM, and ensuring platform performance and security across multi-account and multi-VPC setups.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience administering production Linux-based EDA compute platforms
• Several years of practical AWS experience
• Experience operating cloud-first infrastructure at scale

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain AWS-based engineering infrastructure across multi-account, multi-VPC environment
• Operate, optimise and troubleshoot cloud environments supporting engineering workloads
• Support cloud-based job scheduling using AWS ParallelCluster and SLURM
• Maintain and extend Infrastructure as Code and automation for secure, repeatable builds
• Own, operate and continuously improve Linux-based EDA and HPC compute farm
• Manage licence servers, grid services, production job scheduling and shared storage
• Work closely with engineering teams to optimise job throughput and storage performance
• Diagnose and resolve networking issues across on-premises and cloud environments
• Support IT team with routine service issues and complex infrastructure incidents
• Cross-train colleagues in AWS and cloud-native practices
