Senior Engineering Manager - DevOps (Developer Experience)

Job summary

Lead a team responsible for ensuring the availability of CI/CD systems and automation tools, enhancing developer effectiveness and productivity while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies in DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure, or software engineering
• Familiarity with Linux, Containerisation technologies, and open-source software
• Ability to code in at least one scripting/programming language (Bash, Python, Go)
• Experience leading a team of at least 4 people
• Industry experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Release with automation
• Experience or certification with Containers technologies, Kubernetes, Docker EE & OpenShift
• Ability to build and troubleshoot Java applications
• DevOps acumen for operational excellence in Build/deploy pipelines
• Experience with Linux, Unix, Shell Scripting, and Automation
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog
• Experience with SCM tools like GIT (Github) and Nexus/Artifactory
• CI tool management experience with Jenkins
• Experience with Project Management tools (Jira)
• Ability to work with distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Support and develop a team of DevOps Engineers
• Build and support Container CI/CD pipeline
• Measure and improve developer experience
• Implement changes to build/release/version-control processes
• Provide guidance on release best practices
• Support tools and services in all environments
• Provide 24x7 support across non-production environments
• Manage continuous delivery pipeline for containers
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Development, QA teams
• Maintain service availability, performance, integrity, capacity, and security
• Suggest improvements to deployment process and tooling
• Participate in decision making for application deployment
• Update documentation on standards and best practices
• Implement metrics, monitoring, and Key Performance Indicators
