Senior Fullstack AI Platform Engineer

Job summary

Kindsight is seeking a Senior Fullstack AI Platform Engineer to build production AI systems and workflows on AWS. The role involves hands-on engineering across Python backend services and React/TypeScript, focusing on creating reliable AI agents and improving system integrations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a fullstack or backend software engineer
• 3 years of Python backend engineering experience
• Experience building or integrating AI applications
• Ability to discuss a real AI project in detail
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks or orchestration approaches
• Understanding of agentic application patterns
• Experience with structured outputs using JSON and validation approaches
• Experience integrating applications with REST APIs and databases
• Exposure to RAG, embeddings, and semantic search
• Experience with managed LLM services like Amazon Bedrock
• Experience with React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with AWS services
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing
• Strong debugging and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee building and optimization of production AI agents and workflows using Python and AWS
• Implement agent logic for planning, tool selection, execution, and error handling
• Build integrations between agents and internal APIs, databases, and external tools
• Implement structured output patterns using JSON Schema and validation techniques
• Support runtime patterns including session handling and agent observability
• Build backend services for agent execution and API integration
• Create React/TypeScript screens for testing agents and monitoring execution status
• Write automated tests for agent behavior and backend APIs
• Troubleshoot production issues involving tool failures and integration errors
